C2E2

So I went to C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo).

no titleno titleno title

It was an adventure, to say the least.

I went 45 straight hours without sleep, everything hurt, but it was awesome.

I spent all of Friday night packing and trying (failing) to nap in preparation for the trip to come, but we left for the airport at like 3 in the morning, arrived just after 330, and I was on my own. It was my third time on an airplane (the other two occurrences both being to Orlando (in 1999 and 2008) and my first time flying alone. I flew Spirit, which is an airline that is tiny, but cheap ($200 round trip from BWI to O'Hare!) and works on the idea that if you are going from Point A to Point B with as little as possible, then they're for you. They charge for anything beyond a personal item - not a carry on, carry on's can be bigger than the 16x14x12 dimensions allowed for a personal item. They don't offer drinks or food for free on the flight, and there's no wifi. Only a two hour flight, though, so who can't live without those things?

Made it through security swiftly (not a lot of people in line for that at 345, it turns out). Chilled for a while with my iPod and a book. Had an egg and cheese bagel for breakfast before the plane started boarding and enjoyed a blissfully quiet flight. Took off at 620 (East Coast time) and landed at 720, Chicago time. That hour difference is small, but noticeable.

One bad thing about Spirit is that they are literally the furthest thing away from everything, so there was quite a journey between the super crowded gate we came off of (after 30 minutes of sitting on the runway waiting to get to it) and the taxi pick up place thing. Found a Starbucks along the way and got some caffeine before I got a taxi to the convention center in downtown Chicago. First time in one of those, too.

Got to McCormick Place at like 9, but you couldn't get onto the floor until 10, so sat around for a while and enjoyed the cosplayers. Found Waldo almost instantly, and spotted a rather creepy AHS clown lurking nearby, too.

Finally, at 10, the mass rush began.

I headed for the autograph lines first. Jason Momoa (Kahl Drogo on Game of Thrones) was my first goal. He was supposed to start signing at 10, but he did not show up until like 1115. Apparently, he'd gone to the gym for his daily workout and he'd gotten held up somewhere along the way and Chicago traffic did nothing to speed the situation along. Missed the one panel I wanted to see because of the delay, but eh, what can you do?

He finally showed up, though, and I got him to sign my Game of Thrones script (signed by George R R Martin (I won it in a Barnes and Noble contest that I have never had any recollection of entering)).

From there, I wandered around a bit, as I didn't have anything I needed to do until 1 something.

Met Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic) at the Channel Awesome booth. Got a poster signed and a picture with him.

Headed to the Thrilling Adventure Hour booth and purchased the TAH Concert Film and Beyond Belief #1 (so I didn't have to spend a week badgering my comic shop for it, yay!)

Wandered back toward the autograph area and saw that Finn Jones (Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones) had finally arrived. He was supposed to be there at 1030, but this was going on 12 and we never did get an explanation for his considerable delay. Got him to sign the book, as well.

Did some more general wandering - finally tracked down the booth selling Dragon Age stuff (Sanshee) and bought a set of pins (though sadly only 1 of the 2 sets, as the other was sold out). Around this time, the messenger bag I'd been lugging around gave up on me. One of the metal hook things just straight up snapped on me, so I had to finagle the strap into a knot around the handle that would hold up for the rest of the day - threw off the balance of the thing, though, so it killed my shoulders, that was fun.

Photo-Op with the Thrilling Adventure Hour was the next thing I had to do, that was at 1. Lined up a little early, wasn't too far back in the line. They were all super super super nice. They asked what else I was gonna do at C2E2 and I was like 'I'm gonna see your shows tonight, flew all the way from Maryland to see you guys!' which they were happy to hear. I'd been awake for 21 hours at this point, which they seemed impressed by, as well. Asked what I wanted to do for the photo and I was just like 'I dunno,' and they were like 'Goofy? Awkward high school photo? Serious?' I went with goofy and got this:

From there did some more aimless wandering, thought about getting food, but lines were all too long.

Bounced back to the Channel Awesome booth to get a better picture than the one I'd taken before.

Tried to get in line for Marc Evan Jackson/Timothy Omundson autographs, but they'd capped the line before I got to it.

Killed time until 230, when the Game of Thrones Photo-Op was happening. Jason Momoa was late to that, too, which set back his Photo-Ops, Finn Jones' Photo-Ops AND the GoT Photo Ops, so that was more standing in lines, and a much more fly-by experience than TAH had been. Here is that picture:

Had more time to kill and had done everything I'd wanted to by this point, so more aimless wandering until it got late enough to leave. Spent a good twenty minutes trying to get the useless Curb App to work, never did get it to, finally ended up just grabbing one of the cabs around the convention center, had a really awesome driver for that leg of the trip, he gave me a quick tour of stuff we passed along the way and I explained why people were wandering around in crazy costumes.

The Thrilling Adventure Hour show was at a place called the Chop Shop in Wicker Park. The first show didn't start til 8, but I got there around 530ish, I think. Headed up to the bar to grab some food - ended up with a tasty burger and fries, a hard cider, then a rum and coke. Chatted with the dude next to me for a while (he was taking some crazy church history class (studying to become a pastor, I think?)) and loitered around until they opened the doors downstairs for the show.

Got a front row seat and killed some time talking to a really nice couple who ended up sitting next to me about TAH stuff and Welcome to Night Vale stuff and C2E2 stuff. Show started at like 815, went til 910 or so and proved to be truly awesome. Show 1 was an adaption of the first two issues of the TAH Sparks Nevada Image Comic books. Show 2 was the 3rd and 4th, which aren't out yet. So I totally know how that ends now. It was awesome, so so so so so awesome.

no title

The only unfortunate thing was that they kicked us all outside between the shows and then let us all back in. Thought for sure I wouldn't get back in the front row, but managed it. Show 2 started at 10, ended a little after 11. Hung around for a while and got my comic signed by Marc Evan Jackson, Mark Gagliardi, Ben Acker, Ben Blacker, Scott Adsit, Timothy Omundson, Craig Cackowski and Autumn Reeser (missed John Ross Bowie, Hal Lublin and Janet Varney). Got pictures with Marc Evan Jackson, Mark Gagliardi and Timothy Omundson before heading out. Got 2 signed posters, too, one for each ticket (though each is missing some signatures? one is missing John Ross Bowie, Craig Cackowski and Timothy Omundson and the other is missing Ben Acker and Scott Adsit)

Tried the Curb App again with no success, ended up just grabbing one that was going by for the trip back to the airport. By this time I'd been awake like 32 hours.

Got to the airport around midnight, got my boarding pass and discovered security was closed until like 330. So, 3 hours of waiting in the bafflingly freezing main part of the airport, where there was a shortage of any food or beverage places. Read for a bit, tried to nap, but it was too fucking cold. Ended up eating up my data plan chatting with a friend in Hawaii for a while to keep sane (though I suspect I wasn't, given the craziness of that saved conversation). Finally got through security (sadly food/beverage was out of reach until 430). By this point, I was hella sore (from the bag and the walking and possibly the shivering?) and the hike back to the Spirit gate was torture.

Longest four hours ever, at that point.

Tried to sleep, couldn't. Tried to read, couldn't. Tried to internet, couldn't. Music was nice, but not enough. Food helped a little, at like 5, but that's around when he chaos started, too.

See, BWI must not have a lot of Spirit flights, but holy hell O'Hare had a ton. And Spirit only had 2 gates. Planed must have been coming in early or late or in the wrong order because they kept shuffling the departure gates around. There were two girls working the gates, who were running around like crazy the whole time I was there.

Also, I have no idea how I was more aware and coherent than 95% of the other airport patrons. Seriously, I was up to 42 hours by the time my plane started boarding, and somehow I could rattle off the altered gates for like 6 different flights. It's not like they weren't announcing it every five freaking minutes, but every minute or so someone would walk up to the gate their boarding pass said they should be at and you could just see the panic on their faces when a different place was listed. Sheesh.

no title

Finally got on the plane at like 810 (a good 40 minutes after we were supposed to start boarding). Ended up in one of the slightly bigger seats because I'd asked to swap my middle seat for an aisle (yay!). We were supposed to land in Baltimore at 11:01, but despite leaving late, we got in at like 10:50. Up to 44 hours now. Made the hike away from the Spirit gates again.

My parents were there to pick me up, but instead of just meeting me somewhere outside, they parked on the opposite end of the airport.

By this point, I was sort of hysterical. I needed to sleep and everything hurt and I thought I was so close and then the car was like so far away. I lost it a little, there.

Finally got in the car and finally got home and had a long shower and then I crashed out from 1 to 9, woke up for food, stayed up til 3, and then crashed out again until 1.

All in all, it was fun, but if I go next year I am getting a hotel.

So, had an eventful few days.

Mom, Zach and I headed out on Wednesday around 11. Made it to OC right at 3, after a stop for lunch, which was awesome timing because that's when Check-In started. We stayed on 15th street, which is pretty much right at the point where the streets of hotel meet the streets of boardwalk entertainment. We did, however, manage to find a hotel that still proudly advertised that it had 'COLOR TV!' and 'AM/FM RADIO!' which... yeah. Not surprisingly, they had no Wi-Fi, but luckily my phone still worked so I wasn't entirely internet deprived. The room had furnishings roughly circa 1999ish. With a giant boxy TV that was indeed in color. The room was also tiny.

However, they did have an awesome pool. Which they also proudly proclaimed on their sign along with color TV and radio. It goes to 10 feet. You still can't dive, but it's awesome nonetheless. We forewent the beach on Wednesday, it was 3:30 or so by the time we got settled in the room and everything and we decided to just got to the pool for a while before heading to the boardwalk.

After some failed attempts at trying to get my brother to swim (and by swim, I mean float) that were not successful (I have theorized that he was like, born without buoyancy or something) some guy started playing a guitar and singing songs. Awesome! This is now a concert post! He played a lot of cover songs - Third Eye Blind, Zac Brown Band, Jason Mraz, Matchbox Twenty, John Mayer, Josh Turner, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Aerosmith, and a lot more. His name was Blake Haley, and is a link to hsi website.

After the unexpected concert was over, we headed back to the room to change and then hit the
boardwalk. We walked down a few streets to hit up an arcade we always went to when we were little that was still pretty fun. Walked a few more streets, made a few stops, grabbed some pizza for dinner (that took forever to get, the place was so crowded) and then continued on our way. Stopped for ice cream at Dumser's aka my Dad's favorite ice cream place ever. Got to the end, chilled for a bit and then headed back to the hotel on the tram. Watched like 5 minutes of Royal Pains and crashed out at like... 11.

Woke up at 7 on Tuesday. Shock to my system. Umbrella rental place on the beach didn't open til , so we grabbed breakfast at the hotel restaurant next door. Which was significantly more fancy than a. our hotel and b. that it used to be. It used to be called the Santa Maria, but they tore that down and replaced it with some fancy Courtyard Marriott thing that looks nice (and has Wi-Fi!) but is also ridiculous expensive. OC has no right to be that expensive. Anyway. After 9, we hit the beach. The water was freezing and it got deep too fast to boogie-board, so we mostly spent the time chilling on the beach. After a while Zach got bored so we headed back to the pool for a while. No free concert this time, but still fun and relaxing. Zach bailed on us after that - but Mom and I headed back to the beach and then back to the pool before we headed back inside.

Once we were cleaned up, Mom and I walked down a few streets to Phillip's for an awesomely tasty dinner. Brought food back for Zach, watched a few episodes of NCIS on TV and then headed back to the boardwalk. Wandered a bit and grabbed Thrasher's fries and then ended up getting stalked by seagulls and then feeding seagulls which was fun, if also kind of terrifying (especially when a GIANT one sits there staring at you, kind of unnerving). Didn't stay out long, got back into the room before half-time of the Ravens first pre-season game, which we quickly switched off of. Watched Burn Notice, watched Suits and then crashed out.

Woke up at 7 again this morning, we were ready to go by 9 and checked out. Drove up a few streets to get popcorn and taffy to take home with us, but Mom saw some store she'd been looking for that she'd thought closed, so we chilled until 10 when the opened. Wandered a few stores and grabbed the snackage and we were on the road by like, 10:10.

Made it home before 2, which was good because Mom and I worked tonight.

I am hopelessly sunburned. I slathered my face in aloe and silvadine burn cream enough to get through work, but owwww. So not cool.

A few beach pictures are under the cut!

Going to Ocean City in the morning for a quick trip. Staying until Friday morning. Going with Mom and Zach. Should be fun.

But, I want beach/ocean/summer related prompts! Prompt away for any fandom I write and maybe for ones I'm into but haven't written for yet. We'll see. Leave pairing and a prompt, please?

PRS OPEN HOUSE (DAY 2)

So, Day 2/2. Checked out of the hotel at like 10 something and then started driving. We stopped at a Panera Bread for breakfast/lunch because I was craving it almost as bad as I was craving a Starbucks coffee at B&N. Then stopped at Kohl's because, well, Mom said we had to. I got an awesome jacket thingy and some new jeans, though! Yay! Ugh, got back to State College around 1:15 or so. Most people were out on some scavenger hunt. They were kind of insane since most of the stuff was in or around the Penn State campus... which you'd really have to be nits to be near with the Parent's Weekend going on. A good few of us opted against the insanity and chilled outside the building with Josh. They let us in a little bit early and let us shop in the PRS store. Got a really awesome t-shirt - Further WIthout Fear, with the verse from the Rhime of the Ancient Mariner poem that Ryan love son the back --

Like one that on a lonesome road
Doth walk in fear and dread,
And having once turned round walks on,
And turns no more his head;
Because he knows a frightful fiend
Doth close behind him tread

-- But yeah. They told us that Ryan was sick - he'd been sickish yesterday and Sergey, too - and he probably wouldn't be there until the Group Photo/Goodbye, so his last lecture was canceled and his group split into the remaining lectures. From there, they sent us all of to our last lectures.

Lecture #3 - Sergey and Josh on Evidence Analysis. They played some video clips and some audio recordings about some odd evidence and then talked about a few of their absolutely bat-shit insane clients. Michelle was there, too, and she is not allowed near the technology lest it self-destructs apparently. They were all really funny.

When that wrapped up, it was time to do the Group Photo/Goodbye stuff and while everything was getting set up outside, Sergey told us all that Ryan wouldn't be coming back today at all. He said Xander was at home watching him and that once everyone left he'd go back and make Ryan green tea and noodle soup. So at least Ryan's not totally suffering. Took the picture, got quick pictures with Michelle and another one with Sergey (who, btw, smokes. Ick. -_-) and then Mom and I had to leave - since she had to drive me back out here and then go home. So much driving O_O.

Made it back here by like 5:30. Stopped for dinner and was just informed Mom made it back home safely. So yay!

PRS OPEN HOUSE (DAY 1)

In epic planning fail, this weekend was Parent's Weekend at Penn State which meant hotels were not easily locatable. The one Mom and I ended up in was in Altoona, which is like almost an hour from State College, PA. Not a fun drive, really. Though pretty. We confused the poor old GPS to death because they must have like changed the roads or something since the last time the maps got updated. It was like 'Recalculating... ... ... Recalculating... ... ... WHAT THE HELL YOU PEOPLE ARE DRIVING ON NOTHING!!! *power off*'

But, anyway. We made it from Altoona to State College B&N by like 11:45 only to discover that Ryan's book signing (go buy it) was not at 12, as originally advertised, but at 2. So. We had like 2 hours to kill. Fun.

Chilled for a while, ended up driving aimlessly around town for a little while in search of a Panera Bread (found one, but it was packed because it was near the PSU campus) and then just went back to B&N. By then the line was pretty long so we joined in and waited. I GOT MY JAVA CHIP FRAPPUCHINO OMG DELICIOUS HNNNG. Ryan showed up a little after two and did a quick Q&A sessionbefore he started signing. Took a while but eventually got up to the front (and god damn there were like 300+ people there see?). Ryan, Michelle Belanger, and Stefan Petrucha (dude who helped Ryan write the book - mostly transcribed what Ryan dictated and edited accordingly in bits when Ry was too busy) were at the table thingy. Sergey, Eilfie, Katrina and Josh were all chilling around the area, too. I had 2 books. One for me and one for [livejournal.com profile] cynical_sweater to get signed and while Ryan was signing those, Michelle was like 'Ooh, I like your tattoos! (Aequitas/Veritas) Good values to have.' And Ryan was like 'Huhwhat? Oh. Boondock?' 'YESSS.' <3 Got some haphazardly taken pics with them then got shuffled out of the way. Got Katrina to sign/get a picture, then Sergery and Josh and Eilfie. :D We hung around until the line was mostly gone because somehow in the tattoo conversation the books missed her in the signing process so I was hoping to catch her. Didn't.

Headed over to the new PRS headquarters and got signed in and everything. Had to chill for a while as other people showed up. Thus began the tour (led by Chris, old friend of Ryan's from high school and PRS crew). She led us around the offices - which are really cool. Tech room. Josh's office (and Josh!). Paranormal Insider TV Room/Chillaxing room (Xander has a bed in there, too <3). Katrina's Office (and Katrina!). Sergey's Office (and Sergey!). Conference room. Ryan's Office (no Ryan, he wasn't there so we weren't allowed in). Kitchen Michelle was just out of frame there - a vampire eating a sandwich, as Chris introduced - and Xander has foodbowls in there <3. Eilfie's Office (and Eilfie!). Library. Seance room.

Thus ended the tour. We were then sent back outside while the others groups finished up their tours. There were maybe like... 30 of us? Idk. Not too many, really. From there, we got sent off to the various lectures we'd signed up for.

For lecture #1, I picked Sergey's. It was on the History of Spirit Photography and it was really neat. I'll probably post about it more later. Xander showed up toward then end of it and got lots of belly rubs. (God, I miss my dogs!!)

For lecture #2, I picked Ryan's (and Stefan's). Which was lucky since he got stuck at the bookstore for a while and then couldn't do the one on Sunday (will explain in next post). He basically just talked about the book and stories about writing the book and stuff that got cut out and details and stuff. It was really interesting and seriously funny at times. (He and Chris broke into some church in South Carolina with a screwdriver looking for evidence of a haunting when they were in HS and are pretty much not allowed in that town anymore?)

From there, we all headed out to Damon's for dinner. OMG FOOD THAT ISN'T FROM THE CAF AT SCHOOL!! <3 YUM. Ended up sitting with Stefan Petrucha amongst several other PRS goers. Ryan and Sergey and most of the others were at the table in front of us, Josh was at the table behind us. Ryan kept stealing Sergey's food, lol. They had some serious technical difficulties on set-up, but eventually they got Ryan's laptop (it has Xander as a background, aww <3) set-up and hooked up to the projector thingies in the room. They showed us one of the new potential openers for the show 9set to Red Right Hand? xD) And then screened an episode (called They Only Come Out At Night). It was pretty damn good, and I will refrain from spoilering you all. I think it's one of the ones that air on 10/17. Then they played a few random clips (one of their episodes is going to be a total crack-fest, I warn you all now, lmfao...) and then another episode called ... Dead Room? I think. Pretty sure that was what it was called. That one was amazingly done and very powerful. Apparently Ryan has been trying to re-vamp how the show gets done, trying to break pattern and try new things (like the new theme and such). I'd say it's working.

After dinner, we all headed back to the PRS headquarters. Mom and I were in seance group one and we all sat around in a circle in the dark dark dark seance room. A few people stood around a tipping table and one brave volunteer went into the spirit closet to stare into a creeptastic mirror. Pretty much nothing happened, except that people's stomachs growled and some of us felt like our heads were really heavy. Michelle (the host of the seance thing) said that we'd p[retty much just covered how exciting Dead Time usually is.

Once that was over, we headed out. We had an hour drive back to Altoona and we were both pretty exhausted by the time we got there. Z.z

Phew. Just got home from Rehoboth beach. We weren't planning on spending the night, but it took longer to drive out there than we thought it would. Which kind of sucked since I didn't bring my laptop or anything. We left at like 9:30 yesterday morning, didn't get into Rehoboth until like 1 or so - after a few misdirects from the wonky GPS. Got into our room and then headed down to the beach which was like a half mile walk away from the hotel. Got situated on the beach and I'd gone through like maybe 5 waves when this really big one hit and knocked me down - I'd gone down before that 2 or 3 times already - but this time I came up without my glasses. Which, for me, was essentially like coming up without eyesight at all. We stayed in the shallows for a while, hoping beyond all hope that they'd wash up or something, but they never did. Even if they had, they probably would have been scratched to hell or broken or otherwise unusable. Once we finally gave up on that - and decided that we were staying anyway - I crashed out on the beach blanket for like an hour. Hiked back to the boardwalk and got lunch and ice cream and then headed back to the hotel. We stopped for a jump in the hotel pool and then got back to the room. Chilled for a bit and changed and then walked most of the boardwalk. Nothing was terribly interesting there so we didn't stay long and then walked over to some seafood restaurant for dinner. Stopped at a store to look around - Mom was in search of a laser pointer thingy with which to torment entertain Nash - we both got these hoodie things that are made with like t-shirt material. And I got this awesome rainbowy bracelet thing. Back to the room again after that and we chilled a while, watched Big Brother (Yay!Ragan! T_T-Matt! Bwahaha!Brendan! Also, Matt? Bromance and Showmance mean different things entirely.) Headed back out one more time to get taffy and caramel popcorn - traditional beach going foodstuffs) and then back to the room. We watched the tail end of the Burn Notice finale and the Royal Pains summer finale - and by watched I mean, in my case, listened to.) and then crashed out.

We both slept horribly, but we're home now and I have a ton of shit to do before tomorrow morning when I leave for Frostburg. Presently, I wish there were two or three of me so I could do all the stuff I need to do at once.

1. Phantom Stallion: Gypsy Gold = Done.

2. So, Mom, Zach and I went to Hershey Park today. It was fun, if exhausting. At least for me. If they're tired, I have no idea why. In fact, not even sure why Zach went at all. The only thing he did was go around on the lazy river thingy in the waterpark like 3 times. Mom didn't do much more than that, either.

Me? I did just about every hardxcore roller-coaster they had. One had too long of a line to wait for and the other we just didn't get to. I did the Wildcat first, which was awesome. i love wooden roller-coasters even if you come off of them with your teeth still chattering together. Then I did the Lightning Racer. Also fun, and wooden. And very very awesome. After than Mom and Zach got impatient and we did the water park stuff. Which, as mentioned, involved three go arounds on the FREEZING COLD lazy river. We grabbed lunch after that and then I went on this Roller Soaker thing that was not as cool as I thought it would be. Essentially, I stood in line for thirty minutes for the joy of having cold water sprayed at me? I don't know. That was all we did in the water area. Totally worth it, I know. Once we'd changed, I hit the Sidewinder (holy fucking hell, that was amazing) and then the Trailblazer (which was totally a kiddie roller-coaster that I misjudged. So much wasted time in that line...) Mom and Zach got bored of sitting around waiting for me, so they went off on their own while I got in line for the Storm Runner (also awesome and crazy and FAST) and then wandered over to a new area of the park. Got sidetracked by the Comet because the line seemed short-ish, and it was cool but not as crazy awesome as I was hoping for. I got a choice between the two roller-coasters I had left at that point, the Great Bear and the SooperDooperLooper. Almost went with SDL for sentimental reason (first roller-coaster I ever went on), but the Great Bear was upside down and twisty and I could not resist. Took me damn forever to find it, but it was amazing. The only one besides the SDL I didn't get to was the Fahrenheit, which I am not particularly devastated about either because it has a drop that looks like this. While I was having all this fun, they spent twenty minutes in a crappy arcade and then sat around doing nothing. Oi.

Oh, and just before we hit the water park? My cell phone rang. And I knew, I just knew that it was going to be my spectacularly uncommunicative roommate. Argh.

Mom and I (Zach bailed on us) are going to a beach tomorrow. We're still somewhat undecided on which one it will be, but meh. Just for the day. It'll be fun. :3

Disney Part 1

Alright, so, Disney recap time. I was hoping to type these up sooner, but oh, well. I'll get Sat/Sun/Mons up soon. So, 11/13-14.

THURSDAY

Our flight left at like... 6:55 on Thursday night. We hung around the airport from about 5 on, after getting through security and that fun stuff. Hit a ton of turulence going down to FL. And arrived around... 9 or so. Got the shuttle to the hotel, Pop Century, ended up in the 50s building there. Ordered a pizza, watched some TV and went to bed.

FRIDAY

Got up at 7. Got ready. Walked over to the main building to grab breakfast. Caught the bus to Magic Kingdom. Arrived just before the park opened. All the parks are already decked out for Christmas. Mom and I went straight to Space Mountain. We ended up in the front row of that ride. Oh, boy. xD An unfounded fear, but I kept thinking I was gonna hit my head on stuff. xD From there, we did the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, which is cooler than I remember it ebign in 1999. Then we headed over to the Haunted Manshion. Which was significantly less terrifying than it was when I was 8. Then Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. I was guarding both my hand and my camera from water, an unfun way to spend a ride. xD Then we hot Pirates of the Carribean and got something to drink. It was around noon or so by then, so we headed over to Epcot via the ferry and then a monorail thing.

Started on Spaceship Earth. That one was a little too dull for me. Then we hit Mission Space. And the line for the more extreme side was shorter, so we did that. DUDE that was epic. xD Mom wasn't much of a fan for a few seconds there, but she made it through. After that, we got fastpasses for Test Track and went to see the Universe  of Energy thing thats narrated by Ellen Degeneres and Bill Nye The Science Guy. That was cool. Then out Test Track things came up and we wandered over there. Only, as they always seem to, they were having technical difficulties and we ended up standing around for forever. Finally got on, as much fun as I recall it being. Then we went to grab a bite to eat. Grabbed Fastpasses for Soarin, did the Land ride while we were waiting, then decided to just wait in line for Soarin. Got on. Mom loved it, but I was in dull land again. I mean, it was cool, but I'm a rollercoaster person. Then we did the Nemo ride in the Loving Seas. Then headed out. It was like 6 or so by then.

We chilled in the room a bit and then got some food in the main building and then crashed.
