Ummm.... yes. So, [livejournal.com profile] xidiomaticlogic got me obsessed with a movie that has been sitting around my house unopened since like... 2005. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, and I don't mean the CSI or Torchwood episodes. Well, as I said - obsessed. One of my favorite movies!!! It's hilarious and slashy and just, yeah. Do yourself a favor - see it!

And, if you need further convincing --

Enjoy!

KMKMLM - be warned, one way or another, I'll get you to watch it!

SO fucking epic! =D

Dear god, like I said, they totally slash their own characters. Not to mention the domestic fuzziness o that last scene. <3

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, yes! The end scene was great, too. Not really a big leap to what else might occur on that desk.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
XD I know. And the casual touchiness and shit.

OH GOD. They're such dorks. This poor interviewer. -cracks up-

Yeah. They totally slash their characters. And, er, apparently themselves. A little. Damnit, I hate RPS but damnit. XP

1. i think Robert needs either medication, caffiene or sleep. xD

2. If that does not scream subtext. nothing does.

They're total goobers xD

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Those two are so damn adorable together. Look up the Unscripted episode of the two of them, I'm still watching it, it's titled "why do you have such contempt for me". XD

-LAUGHS-

"The first time I jacked off to Top Gun--"
"WOAH."
"The first time was when he says 'I know you're thinking about me Robert' right into the camera. ^_^"
"-_-"

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
O___O xDDDD *dies laughing* I will laugh everytime I see Top Gun now. xD

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 06:29 am (UTC)(link)
Dude, I *already* laugh every time I see Top Gun. That movie is so, so, SO gay. It just oozes gay out of every pore, even though poor Val doesn't want to talk about it. If I remember correctly, he and Tom Cruise have a near-psychotic loathing of each other.

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't seen Top Gun in forever xD Like... I don't even know how long *will have to dog that one out of the basement, too*

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 06:54 am (UTC)(link)
I'd suggest you take a shot every time something overtly gay happens, but I don't want you to die of alcohol poisoning. ^_-

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha - sorry I fell asleep. You might di from alcohol poisoning if you did that with KKBB, too.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 05:24 pm (UTC)(link)
-laughs!- This is true. But KKBB is pretty straightforward with the fact that it's a totally gay movie. Top Gun is in the closet with itself, I think.

I still remember the first time I watched it with a friend... She was convinced it wasn't gay at all. No homoerotic anything. Seriously. I had a pen and notebook and we took down every gay-versus-het occurcance... By the end her perceptions were shattered but I think she liked the movie even more.

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 06:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, ho. Definitely gonna have to find that later. I tried last night but it's gotten lost in the mess that is my dad's 'only i can understand it' system. I'll have to wait til he gets home from work. -_-

Yeah, KKBB is pretty straightforard with it - but only when you watch it. As proven true by the fact that it has been in my house for probably years and not been caught in my slash binging net.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 06:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, family members and their inexplicable movie-shelving-systems. o_o I know them well.

I know! It's stealth slash. It looks like a totally normal, maybe slightly cheesy action flick, and then WHAM. Slashtastic.

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
This is my Dad's system. There is no evident order at all. And that's not even all of them. xD We could run like a Netflix out of our house.

Haha, stealth slash - that wins. xDDD It's kinda like the regular buddy movie - with a better twist.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly! I do like buddy films, right up until the point where the guy gets the girl and the buddy becomes a third wheel. T_T The last two or three minutes of KKBB was me going "WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. YES. WHAT. YES. =D"

Though, I once watched a chinese buddy movie where I felt it was done right, although the buddy is dead for most of it and there was like time travel and shit... but the main character's mission was to bring him back, and when the female sidekick threw a hissy fit at some point, he basically told her "I like you, but fuck you miss, this is about my friend, not you."

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Argh, I hate that in buddy movies. Ever seen Dead Man on Campus? The female love interest has like 5 lines, is a total moron and is not relevant to the plot at all - but the last seen is the two guys in bed together after one has a nightmare. You can pretty much ignore her and be totally fine. And the book version is even slashier.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-15 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh, no, I'd never gotten around to seeing that. >_> I think I shall read the book first and then feel snotty and superior. =D

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-16 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, it's plotline is pretty much standard college 'hey lets get drunk and high and have sex and not go to class!' but it picks up after a bit. ^^;;

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-16 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
-nod- I tend to have little patience with 'lolcollege' stories, but hey, slash. XD

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-16 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
Well, one of the two guys is interested in his grades for the majority of the movie at least, so its not so bad. The trailer is rather deceptive, though, if you look that up.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-16 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Hah, I hate that, where trailers have *nothing* to do with the actual movie and everything to do with what will reel people in. =P

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-16 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
Haha, yeah. Like KKBB's focuses way too much on the whole crook-actor thing.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2008-04-16 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. XD Funny as the set-up is, it's basically just an excuse to get the boys together.

Ohhh, and I just found out that the friend who claimed to have seen this actually saw A DIFFERENT MOVIE BY THE SAME NAME. Someone else I can tie down and make watch it. -cackle-

[identity profile] csi-sanders1129.livejournal.com 2008-04-17 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, exactly. That part takes up what? Like 3.5 minutes of the amsusing narrator part?

Haha, I have to get her *person in post below* to watch it.
