Okay...

So, my dad and I left home about 11-ish and got downtown by 12:20 or so. I slept most of the way, I'm really not sure. xD We parked about 15 blocks away from teh Stadium and walked the 25 minutes or so over. Then we hung around and did nothing til 1 when the gates opened. Oh - and Sammy hagar backed out - he was sick or something.

Our seats were in the 2nd row, but off to the side, so they were perhaps not the best deal ever. But, anyway, once we checked out our seats we went to get some food and I bought 2 shirts - one Gary Allan, one Kenny Chesney.

Well, after we ate, my dad got a call from his boss (who was also attending the concert) and while he was talking, I see a familiar face approaching. I start poking my dad, he has no idea what I'm doing and then my cousin walks up and he's like '...Oh.' xD So, I talked to him for a bit (and may have been stalking him later - because my dad started boring me) and then we went off in search of my dads bass and two of his co-workers. We wandered around looking for them for 10 minutes before we found them and then stood around talking with them for a while. His boss was plastered already - a fact he will be using for exploitation at a later date (hey, he got photographic evidence out of it) and after a bit we headed back to our seats.

Just after 3 the opening band - the Rob Meyer Band - or something like that came out. They won some contect at Hard Rock Cafe the night before that let them play - The Next Big Star or something. They weren't amazing or anything, but they were okay.

Then, once they finished, Gary Allan came out. ^_^ Whoot. He was by far the best of them all. He played a bunch of hsi newer stuff like 'Watchign Airplanes', 'Learnign How To Bend', 'She's So California', 'We Touched The Sun', 'As Long As You're Looking Back', 'Wrecking Ball', 'Half Of My Mistakes', and 'Living Hard' - maybe more, I can't find the set list. He played some older stuff, too. Like 'Song About Rain' - which is like my favorite GA song. Ugh... 'Nothing On But The Radio', 'Best I Ever Had', and 'Right Where I Need To Be' I think he played more than that, but that's all I'm remembering.

Oh - and there was some guy next to us - who looked rather like Caleb from the Covenant - who was plastered out of his mind. I really don't understand why anyone would want to go get drunk at a concert. Aren't you there to enjoy the music? Not to mention by the end of the night there were like 30 some cans of beer from the people next to us. There 7$ each - can't you get drunk at home for a lot less money? Plus, you know a lot of those isiots go and get in cars after it. -_- But, yeah, anyway - the guy was zoinked and he kept walking by us. He like practically gave the girl next to me a lapdance. And danced with the like 12 year old behind me. Then he kept poking by dad like he was trying to get by, you know, but he never went passed, he kept doing it and everntually my dad - being awesome like he is - goes 'WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT????' and after that the guy left us alone. Heh.

But, yeah - after they set up, Leann Rimes came out. I don't know a lot of her stuff. Very little really. I know she played 'Can't Fight The Moonlight', 'How Do I Live...', 'Something's Gotta Give', 'Probably Wouldn't Be This Way', 'One Way Ticket', and a bunch of other stuff, too, but again, that's pretty much all I knew. Oh, and she covered Cheap Trick's 'I Want You To Want Me'. That was cool.

After that - I went to get dinner for my dad and I and by the time I got back they were pretty much done setting up for Big & Rich. Evidently, I don't know as much of their music as I thought I did. They opened with 'Radio', I Know. Then they went into 'Comin To Your City' and 'Wild West Show' and stuff like that. Then they covered AC/DC's 'You Shook Me All Night Long' - which was epic xD. They played a few other songs I didn't recognize - and the 'Lost In This Moment With You'. 'Big Time'. 'Between Raising Hell And Amazing Grace'. Then Cowboy Troy and sand 'Chicken With The Train'. Troy headed off stage for a bit and there were a few more songs - '8th Of November' among them - which was also fantastic. Then, finally, they played 'Save A Horse, Rode A Cowboy' - they had Cowboy Troy and Fred join them for that one. They encored with 'Rollin'', I think. Based on the remotely correct setlist I found. They didn't play 'Holy Water', though, which kinda suprised me. That's one of their bigger songs.

Another break for set up and Brooks & Dunn came out. Of all the bands that played I knew the least of them. 'Neon Moon', 'Red Dirt Road', 'Honkytonk Out Of The Girl', 'Proud Of The House We Built', Play Something Country', 'My Maria' and 'Only In America', were about all I reconized out of them. By then it was getting dark - so less pictures were turning out.  I nearly caught a drumstick, though.

Kenny Chesney came out around 9:15 or so. Around when that started I got a text message from Danny asking if I was enjoying the concert. Evidently, he was there, too. On the other side of the stage, off to the right in the 7th row. If I'd known that before I probably woulda been less bored between bands. But, yeah - Kenny Chesney. I did find a set list for him.

Live Those Songs Again, Summer Time, Beer in Mexico, Keg in the Closet, Wild Ride, Big Star, No Shoes No Shirt No Problem, Don’t Blink, Just Not Today, Shiftwork, Living in Fast Forward, Young, Never Wanted Nothing More, What I Need to Do, Just Don’t Happen Twice, Better as a Memory, When The Sun Goes Down, However Forever Feels. Then the encore: Anything But Mine, She’s Think’s My Tractor’s Sexy. All in all, pretty awesome.

We got outta there about 20 of 11. Walked back to the car - and by this point our feet were killing us xD. Made it home by 11:50 or so, after stopping at Wendy's for food. I was in bed by 1.

Poor Dad though. He went to bed around the same time and had to get up at 3:50 for work. Ouch.

On second thought, I'll post the vods later - photobucket is being a pain.
