Feb. 9th, 2010 01:59 amSo, I got trained for job number 8463 tonight at work. I am now certified and mostly trained to go up to the floors and do Birth Certificate paperwork - going through the charts and interviewing the parents for any other information. I consider this an interesting new assignment for Friday nights.
Supposedly starting at noon tomorrow we're going to be hit with Snowpocalypse: The Sequel, possibly adding another 12-20 inches to our already substantial compilation. That'll be fun. I hope I hope I hope school is closed again on Wednesday. It would suck otherwise.
I'm almost done a new GH fic and I am fighting hard to keep from writing Cousland/Zevran fic. I have resisted thus far. At least consciously - I'm fairly certain I had a dream last night that involved Zevran being blamed for taking the Great Agra Treasure of Sherlock Holmes 'Sign of Four' so my subconscious may need some more convincing. *shakes head*
Well wishes to Bradford Anderson, as well, who had surgery today for the Achilles tendon he tore during the SoapCruise thingy. D: Poor guy. Though I am curious as to how it will be explained on the show.

So, I had time to kill before work one day and went down to see what Zach was playing. He was playing Dragon Age: Origins, at which point he was like 'Oh, hey, I have to show you the gay sex thing.' '...What?'
Apparently, in the game, you can seduce (though there is argument over who is doing the seducing) the elf, Zevran, that you apparently refuse to kill. He joins your party and at some point, this can occur:
And, from further research (and I might just have to watch my brother actually play this game through) your character can also end up pretty much engaged to Zevran.

Jan. 13th, 2010 03:53 pmFirst of all, I bid a warm welcome to all the new friends courtesy of the Sherlock Holmes friending meme. Glad to have you. :3
Second of all, blargh. Had to go buy books for next semester. Man, that is a depressing time of break. In both spirit and on my wallet. Yeouch. Did do it early enough to get most stuff used. Still have to hunt down my bro's English book, they hadn't gotten it in yet.
Plus, now I have him playing Saw for me since I suck at videogames - especially actiony/fighty/yourlifedependsonrunningawaynow games. Which is most of what Saw is. I do the lockpick challanges. That's about it. :3 It's a good arrangement. And being the goofy Leigh/James obsessed fangirl that I am, I solved one challenge because they used Adam's last name. :3 If those boys hadn't written the game, I wouldn't have touched it.
And also: Woo! Leverage is back tonight!

Jun. 22nd, 2009 02:53 amSo, I was browsing around in GameStop while Zach was buying something on Saturday. Amazingly - as every other time I've even thought about looking, no one ever has them - they had one of the Pheonix Wright games that I keep hearing so much about. The first one. Which was all the more awesome.
I was up til 5am last night playing, got up at 10. Went to three more GameStops looking for any of the other games. Found Justice For All.
Came home, went back to playing the first one. I was in the middle of the 4th case. Finished that now. Starting the last case for that game in the AM.
And I will admit to jumping on the Pheonix/Edgeworth bandwagon. However small that badwagon must be given the distinct lack of fic.

Jun. 2nd, 2009 05:39 pmGive me a character from any fandom, tv show, movie, book you know that I know and I will tell you:
a. My favorite thing about that character.
b. My least favorite thing about that character.
c. One person I would ship them with in their own verse.
d. One crossover ship for them I think would be neat.
e. One crossover universe for them I think would be even neater.
f. Their ship from hell.
g. Their song.
h. The title of their biography or autobiography.
i. The last bad dream they had.
j. How they're gonna shuffle off the mortal coil, if they haven't already.
In other news: Sims 3? Awesome. But complicated. Still learning all the tricks and such. It's Zachs turn to play right now.

Oct. 26th, 2008 03:22 pmGot Guitar Hero: World Tour. It's pretty awesome, though it has its caveats. Like the character customization screen. We were trying to get them to look something like our guys Tyler and Greg do in Rockband, but five minutes into that, we were like screw this, we'll mess with it later. And same went for our band name, because we're both used to the normal keyboard popping up thing and not the scroll through letters thing. The first song I did was a talkie one, which I didn't realize, so I was like... WTF? I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON! And then we played a regular one and I was like OH! I CAN SO DO THIS. Ugh, I hate Beastie Boys songs. We played through 5 sets. After the last one, we were planning on finding Hotel California on quickplay and then stopping, but HC turned out to be the encore for the last set, so that worked out well. I did the best on that song out of like... everything.
Hotel California is the most awesome part of the game. And 99% of the reason I bought it.

Sep. 27th, 2008 07:36 pmWell, I'll hopefully be switched to part-time soon. once my boss confirms its okay with her boss. With any luck on that front, I'll be working 8 hours on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, as opposed to the five hous I currently work on Tuesday and Thursday. I'ld be working next Friday, but at the time, we'd been planning around my working Tuesday/Thursday, so I can still go to the Matt Nathanson concert. Yey.
Also, the people I work with are total goobers. I'm young enough to be everyones daughter, and they make jokes about how awesome it is to have a teenager actually do something (the one on dayshift is lazeh). One of my jobs is to go to eah floor of the hospital and pick up discharge charts. Some people hate this. I find it the highlight of the evening. Then I come back, assemble them (aka, kill fourty trees) and then we pack them up and send them out to be scanned into the anchient computer system. Once all thats done, I either scan some other papers into the computer or print stuff to scan, or help out my mom, or work on whatever project my boss has me on.
Also, I', really quiet at work. I put my iPod headphones in and I'm set for a few hours. Well, Sue, one of my coworkers comes in and goes 'Yeesh, Jessi, let someone else get a word in won't you? Does your mom know you talk this much?'
Lol. Sarcasm. Win.
We watched the Debate last night at work, too. I know some people dont like hearing politics on their flists so I'll only say three quick things: 1. Could McCain have been more nervous and jumpy? No/No? 2. Obama's facial expressions were hilarious. And, 3. Watching them BS back and forth gave me a headache.
I got a B on my Crim Test =)
And I've been watching Zach play Bully a lot lately. That game is surprisingly awesome. He ended up kicking me out of the room cause he got tired of me asking him to go find the boys you can kiss. Also, he bet that there wasn't slash fic for Bully. Oh, was he wrong.
