So, I've gotten this:

(Danno making an air-heart at Steve after hauling his broken ass up a cliff)
This:

(Balthazar snarking awesome things at Dean about certain other angels who give a crap about killing 50,000 people)
And now this adorableness (even if it the RPS version):

(MGG offering Shemar a Birthday kiss? He also does this adorable reaching out thing before the .gif starts)
All within, what? Ten days? Fandom is being awesomely giving lately.

Mar. 12th, 2011 02:59 pmGot drunk for the first time ever last night. Went to hang out at a friend's place with some of the history club since we got locked out of our normal Friday night movie location. Started with Kahlua and root beer, which wasn't a big deal - Kahlua was previously the only alcohol I'd ever had. Then had iced tea and rum (I think it was rum, I have no idea what I was drinking, honestly...) and that was okay. Then had orange juice and whipped cream vodka - that one was strong. Halfway through that drink, one of my friends decided I wasn't drunk enough so a couple of us did a shot of vodka, which fucking burned. Didn't have anything else after that aside from the rest of the Vodka & Orange. We were watching a horrendously historically inaccurate A&E film about Benedict Arnold (in which he threw fucking tomahawks at people, wtf?) and I really don't remember any of it aside from that. Once that was over we played cheesy board games for a while until most of us finally staggered back to our dorms/apartments/houses at 2am. I almost left at like 11, when the one other person who lives near me left, but that was exactly at the peak of my intoxication and I wasn't even sure I could stand up at that point. Most of the other people there were also enjoying the use of a hookah, which is weird and awesome (even though I don't smoke anything and never will) and didn't kill me with smoke.
All in all, fun night. Even if changing into pajamas upon returning to my room required coordination I did not possess.

There is a notable trend in the books I've read this month. They're all for school. There have also been various partial readings and as of yet unfinished ones, too. I was trying to read at least one fun book this month, but it didn't happen, even though there are a ton of them in my room (between actual books and my nook, I mean).
Goal for next month: read a FUN book. Ideally the BCPI book I've been 2 chapters into for 3 weeks.
Oh. Also, you should watch this. Zombies are not the imminent threat. Crows are They are fucking scarily intelligent. Watch this video, especially - but only if you have 50 minutes to spare.

13 Days of Halloween: Day 8
Oct. 25th, 2010 10:27 pm1. So, the other night at like 4am, some presumably drunk guy was outside of my dorm shouting nonsense. At some point another (presumably also drunk) guy joined him, and they started having a duel Harry Potter style. I know for a fact I heard 'Accio,' 'Alohomora,' 'Expelliarmus,' 'Incendio,' and 'Avada Kedavra'. This was both awesome and incredibly annoying, given that it was 4am. Eventually someone yelled out their window for him to shut the fuck up. This resulted in a long and loud exchange of rather colorful cursing (the 'fuck you' kind, not the 'Crucio' kind) and eventually someone probably dragged the guy back to wherever he was supposed to be. College is crazy exciting sometimes.
2. Psych: A Fatal Frame of Mind = Done. And it was awesome and Arthurian. :D
3. HALLOWEEN:
Step 1: Put your iTunes or equivalent on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 HALLOWEEN songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 4: Bold out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.
