( Q&A Bit )

So, got all A's for the semester. Which, yay! Been home since Tuesday afternoon, have been concerting and working, and video-gaming, and have been obnoxiously sick through all of the above. Have another concert tomorrow (Sugarland) and I have two more chapters of Portal 2 left to play before I beat it! [Poll #1743841]

So I'm sick again. WTF is up with this? I spend 3 months at school living in fairly close contact with something like 300 people and don't get sick even once, and then I come home and live with 3 people and end up sick twice within 3 weeks? WTF immune system?

Also, I'm kind of annoyed that I got sucked into going to work tonight. Aside from getting paid. Not pissed about that. but, I didn't feel good and I was supposed to train this new girl on how to assemble Mom/Baby charts, and we got to work and found out she wasn't there. It was the entire reason I was working tonight - luckily we ended up with a shit ton of discharges so at least I had something to do all night. Now I have to train her tomorrow while also trying to do my job?

I have a few more challenge things to do for my New Years comment!fic thing. No worries - I'm just being slow, they'll get done. And apparently I have one from like... October that I forgot about. Oops. And I also have fan-art to make and something like 12 fic ideas running around in my head that are not helping the constant state of headache I am presently in. I also need to post my Yuletide fic - Zombieland - and edit one of the comment!fic responses I did get finished and then post that.

All of that would be a lot easier if I didn't feel like something was trying to claw out the sides of my throat.

1. Welcome new friends from the Dean/Cas Friending Meme!!!

2. Hnng. My brain is on like fandom overload or something. I have absolutely ridiculous amounts of fic spinning through my head right now and it just won't stop long enough for me to actually write anything down. I've got Sorcerer's Apprentice stuff in progress - a 10 Song challenge and an actual fic. I've got my usual five million GH Jason/Spinelli plots, some of which are in progress, but most of which are like... kind of stalled out. I've got a Newsies plot idea that came out of nowhere, a Dead Man On Campus plot idea that also came out of nowhere. There's a ha;f finished response to one of the bingo challenges waiting for me for Inkheart, too. And I woke up at 8am with a plot for an It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia fic. Not to mention I need to get back to work on my HS Losers fic.

3. Man, I need to get back to work on the Frostburg shopping, too. Only like 2 weeks until move in day. Yikes. And I need to yell at Awesome!Prof because he has yet to respond to any of the emails I've sent him about the letter I need for one of my classes. I'll probably call him on Monday, if he doesn't answer before then.

5. Oh, here's a pic from the BNL concert last weekend. Of the awesome bass-playing incident. There's not much to see, and you can't really tell what I'm doing, but still.

Second of all, blargh. Had to go buy books for next semester. Man, that is a depressing time of break. In both spirit and on my wallet. Yeouch. Did do it early enough to get most stuff used. Still have to hunt down my bro's English book, they hadn't gotten it in yet.

Plus, now I have him playing Saw for me since I suck at videogames - especially actiony/fighty/yourlifedependsonrunningawaynow games. Which is most of what Saw is. I do the lockpick challanges. That's about it. :3 It's a good arrangement. And being the goofy Leigh/James obsessed fangirl that I am, I solved one challenge because they used Adam's last name. :3 If those boys hadn't written the game, I wouldn't have touched it.

And also: Woo! Leverage is back tonight!

1. Guh, I'm sick. Again. -_- Stuffy nose, sore-ish throat. I hate this. Shoot me now, please. I hope I'm good for Tuesday night's Mat Kearney concert.

3. Friday's concert -

Dad and I left at like... 5 o'clock, got the the place at like 5:40. Sat outside with my iPod til 7 when we got in. My lightening speeds got us to the front row - on the bar. And they've remodeled so there aren't huge speakers on the floor anymore, they're up in the air.

First band came on at like... 7:30. The Rust. I knew nothing of their stuff, but they were good.

Evan Taubenfeld came up next, at like... 8:15ish. He spent a lot of his time joking aroudn because this was his homecoming show. I looked up his stuff and know some of what he played. Not in order or anything, but - Pumpkin Pie, The Story Of You & Me, Cheater Of The Year, Boys Meets Girl... some others, too. He played til maybe... 9:15ish.

Parachute came on at like... 9ish. They played: Back Again, She (For Liz), All That I Am, Get Back, Blame It On Me, The Mess I Made, Words Meet Heartbeats, She Is Love, Ghost, and Under Control. I got a guitar pic off of one of them.

After they played, I abandoned my spot to check out the merch tables because supposedly everyone who'd already played would be back there signing. As it turned out, The Rust were the only ones back there. Got a poster signed by them. Bought posters for Evan Taubenfeld and Parachute while I was back there, too. Their merch guys told me that they'd be around after the show.

Secondhand Serenade started up just before 11. They played: Your Call, Maybe(?) A Twist In My Story, Awake, Like A Knife, Stranger, Stay Away (new), Vulnerable, and Fix You (Cold Play cover). Then, for an encore: Reach For The Sky (new). He started to play bits of Augustana's 'Boston' and then changed his mind, then, rochard Marx's 'I Will Be Right Here Waiting...', and stopped again. Then into Fall For You, and ending with Goodbye.

Once it was over, we found Parachute signing out in teh lobby of the place. Got in line for that. Got a picture with Will, again. Dad told him about our Para-Flaw'ed situation and Will said he remembered me from the last time they played here. :3 Once we were done with them, we checked by the stage again to see if anyone had come out. The guys from rust were out again, so I got a picture with the lead guy from that. He and Dad talked about Nashville for a while. We gave up on Evan but heard that the guy - John - from Secondhand Serenade was out back by the tour busses. He was there. Got him to sign my ticket stub, got a picture and a hug. :3 We stuck around a bit longer incase Evan Taubenfeld came out - just to complete the autograph binge I was on, but he never showed. Got hoem close to 1.

I finished the obnoxious Psych project I had to do. It took me all of like 3 hours. xD

I'm almost done a JaSpin fic. I just have like one more scene to write.

I have been assaulted with GH crossover ideas. The very concept of that is enough to make my mind explode but 2 of them are currently lingering about and periodically kicking and otherwise vying for attention amongst several other not crossover plot bunnies.

and my arms are doing well, too.:D
