sorry for the rantage
Jun. 8th, 2011 03:14 amAnnoying few days here.
Sunday, Dad and I got all the way to DC - hell, we parked the car and walked to the concert venue!- only yo discover that The Script concert had been unexpectedly postponed. It is now rescheduled for September 1. I will be in school. Actually, it's on a Thursday night, so I will be in class. Which sucks. Then we got to drive back. The only good thing about that trip is that I got a book read.
Monday night, phone rings. I've been on call for Federal Jury Duty (for the first time) for the last 2 Monday's, and I wasn't supposed to have to go this week. But, they said they had an emergency situation and could I come on Tuesday? I, thinking that if I did this I would be done, said yes. So, I got up at 6:30 this morning (after fucking finally falling asleep at 4) and headed downtown. Had to be there by 8:45. Sat around doing nothing til close to 10, the 18-20 of us all got pulled into the courtroom for voir dire, and questioned and I really, really didn't want to be on this case (drug involved) or have to go the 25 miles to the courthouse for the rest of the week. Luckily, and it was very lucky, they were only looking for alternates and they only needed 5 people, none of which were me. It was a giant pain in the ass. I had to wait around for a while (Dad was at work and Mom needed the car, so I had to wait for her to come get me downtown), so I ended up walking down to the Inner Harbor and chilling at the ginormous B&N down there. Got home around 2, had work at 4, got home at 1. I am fucking exhausted.
I have pretty much no inspiration fic wise (aside from one random Criminal Minds thing I've been typing on my phone), so that also sucks.
Also, the Jury Duty nonsense messed up potential plans with awesome friends but hopefully we can get together over the weekend, so at least there's that.
