csi_sanders1129: (concert)
So, concert.

Still dogsitting, left around 2 to go home and get ready. Left at 4 when the cousin showed up. Downtown by 4:45 or so. Got in early entry like with numbers 109, 110, and 111. Chilled in the air conditioned room until 6:30, when they let us into the stage area. Cousin wanted to stand in the pit, but Dad and I thought that was risky since we couldn't get the rail so we went to the upper level and got decent spots (even if I was squished in front of a pole). Did nothing til 7:30.

Runner Runner was first up. Third time seeing them in the past year. They played Unstoppable, Hey Alli, Hate The Way, Heart Attack, Life After You, I Can’t Wait and So Obvious. My camera was being all wonky about what setting it wanted to be on so I didn't get many good pics of them this time.

They played until 8 and Yellowcard didn't come out til 8:30. They played Denial, Way Away, Breathing, Fighting, Rough Landing Holly, Light Up The Sky, With You Around, Lights & Sounds, Only One, Hang You Up, Sing For Me, Believe and Ocean Avenue. I only knew like 4 of those songs, really, I tend to favor their slower stuff, which they were not terribly interested in doing tonight. Granted, Hang You Up and Sing For Me were done acoustically and were definitely the mellowest. For 90% of the rest of their set, the crowd in the pit below us was mad crazy. There was crowd-surfing, shoving, a bunch of guys cleared this circle thing and proceeded to slam into each other and all the people around them and spin in circles. I do not understand this behavior. Are you not there to see the concert? Why would you spend it spinning in circles and making people hate you? Anyway. They did their last song with one of the Runner Runner guys and then they were done at 9:30.

10:00 and Good Charlotte came on. I was a little worried they would do a lot of newer stuff I didn't know, but they kept it pretty even. Setlist (all of which I was able to take pictures of on the stage) was: Cardiology Intro, The Anthem, Girls & Boys, My Bloody Valentine, Silver Screen Romance, Riot Girl, Like It’s Her Birthday, Sex On The Radio, Little Things, The Young & The Hopeless, The River, I Don’t Wanna Be In Love (Dance Floor Anthem), I Just Wanna Live, The Motivation Proclamation and Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous. They played through their encore break and still went over by a few minutes after 11. The crowd was equally as wild for them. You have no idea how glad I am that we went to the upper level and not the pit. No. Idea. Ugh, they talked a lot about Maryland and Baltimore, since they're from pretty close by. And apparently Baltimore is really good at being crazy at concerts? Both GC and Yellowcard seemed impressed with the insane mosh-pitters.

We didn't stay to stalk the buses - Dad has work in... 3 hours and needed some semblance of sleep so we headed out.

By far not a particularly awesome concert, but definitely better than some others (read: New Found Glory).
