So, after still hearing nothing from Frostburg with regards to my application, I called. Again. I called last week as well - they said everything was accounted for and that I'd hear something within the next few weeks. However, when I called today, I was told that they'd never received my transcripts (which I requested way back on Dec 16th) from CCBC. Which means they can't do anything with my application until they get them. WHAT THE FUCK? They had them last week, supposedly. Or else whatever fucking idiot answered the phone (and trust me, I've had conversations with several fucking idiots who work with Admissions) thought the printed copy I brought along when I applied was like... official. Yeah. Cause those look so much alike. So, I spent 30 minutes looking for the phone number for Records & Registration for my school, finally got through. They said that they would resend my transcripts, but the paper I turned in back in December was apparently nowhere to be found. Gah. Why, why, can't anything I do go smoothly? It's not like I have a back-up plan here. It's Frostburg or I'm in trouble.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!!!!

Awesome!Prof emailed me to tell me he's teaching one of the other classes I needed (I bugged him about it during the semester) and I'd been keeping an eye on it, just in case, anyway. And, yesssss! He's teaching it.

So, my schedule is now:

M:
8:00-8:55 HIST 101 (Western Civ I)
9:05-10:00 HIST 193 (History of MD, w/Awesome!Prof)
10:10-11:05 NOTHING -_-
11:15-12:10 HLTH 125 (Holistic Health)

W:
8:00-8:55 HIST 101 (Western Civ I)
9:05-10:00 HIST 193 (History of MD, w/Awesome!Prof)
10:10-11:05 NOTHING -_-
11:15-12:10 HLTH 125 (Holistic Health)
---
5:45-8:40 HIST 102 (Western Civ II, w/Awesome!Prof)

F:
8:00-8:55 HIST 101 (Western Civ I)
9:05-10:00 HIST 193 (History of MD, w/Awesome!Prof)
10:10-11:05 NOTHING -_-

And then sometime in March I start some stupid 1 credit computer class so I can have 12 credits and stay on my parents insurance.

This also means I get to return one of the massively expensive History books, because Awesome!Prof doesn't use them. My wallet appreciates this. Of course, I still have to buy Zach's English book, so chances are that it'll basically just cancel out. -_- It also means, starting next week, I can only work 2 days a week (because I'm not working til 1 and getting up at 6:30) but I'm pretty much okay with that, too.

First of all, I bid a warm welcome to all the new friends courtesy of the Sherlock Holmes friending meme. Glad to have you. :3

Second of all, blargh. Had to go buy books for next semester. Man, that is a depressing time of break. In both spirit and on my wallet. Yeouch. Did do it early enough to get most stuff used. Still have to hunt down my bro's English book, they hadn't gotten it in yet.

Plus, now I have him playing Saw for me since I suck at videogames - especially actiony/fighty/yourlifedependsonrunningawaynow games. Which is most of what Saw is. I do the lockpick challanges. That's about it. :3 It's a good arrangement. And being the goofy Leigh/James obsessed fangirl that I am, I solved one challenge because they used Adam's last name. :3 If those boys hadn't written the game, I wouldn't have touched it.

And also: Woo! Leverage is back tonight!

Well, grades just came in. Shockingly.

Anthropology = A.
America in Vietnam Era = A.
Survey of World Music = A.
Health = A.

My GPA's like 3.6 or something now. :3 Dean's list again.

Zach got A's in his two math classes and his Sociology class, too. :3

Well, I emailed all of my professors last night because I am impatient and my school takes eternity to post grades. One of them (music) is apparently a little late to the party, because he doesn't think you're allowed to tell grades over email (which is funny because I've gotten about half of my professors ever to do so. The other one (health) I'm doubting will even reply mostly because I doubt he knows how email works.

Awesome!Prof, however, did reply.

...

Do you really need to ask about grades? My goodness! If only more students were as concerned about their education as you are! "A" for both, of course ... really appreciate all your effort!

Oh, and by the way, I think your brother earned at least a "B" his attendance at the beginning of the semester was a bit spotty!!!

...

Lmao, man, I can't wait for History of MD in the Spring.

AND FOR THE OTHER TWO GRADES TO BE POSTED!

So, three finals down, one more to go. Phew. Requested that transcripts get sent off to Frostburg once final grades are in, so that's all done now, too. And I got to see one of my friends while turning the paperwork in for that, which made me happy. :3

Alright, that was fun.

Woke up at like 6 something, I'm not even sure, since I don't even think I opened my eyes until 7:30. Got ready, had coffee, headed out. The first two hours I spent listening to KKBB audio - since I've seen the movie so many times I know what happens anyway. I remember Harry getting pistol-whipped and then the next thing I knew, Perry was talking in the hospital, so I can only assume that I fell asleep for a few minutes. Stopped at McDonald's for breakfast then went the last hour through Cumberland (and might I add that going through where the road cuts through the mountain is pretty cool) and then into Frostburg.

Met with a transfer counselor and turned in my application. I have to get the school to send them a transcript once my final grades are in, and then again in Spring once I'm done those classes. I'll find out if I'm in or not in January/February cause Frostburg goes on break starting next week.

Campus tour was cool, saw all the buildings - library, gym, dorms, student center etc... As a transfer student I don't have to stay in freshman dorms, which is cool. They have like high-rise apartments for upperclassmen.

And yeah, I'm sleepy. It's going to take some getting used to getting up at this hour, since ~7 is roughly when I'll have to wake up for classes on MWF in the Spring.

So, two finals are out of the way - Health and Vietnam. 2 more to go. Music on Wednesday and Anthro on Thursday.

Leaving at like 7:30 in the am to head out to check out Frostburg. Probably apply if everything works out.

Also, I finally caught myself up on White Collar. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ENDING ABOUT? I DO NO APPROVE!

So, one final down. 145 Health questions. Guh. I was the first one done, as is apparently always the case. We were allowed to use notes, but I barely needed mine. Got a perfect score on my paper on the Celluloid Closet.

Anth was awesome. I'm sad to have that class end. We spent the class coloring and doing sign language, lol. It tied into what we were doing, I swear.

So, I just have my AMV and Music classes tomorrow. I'm thinking about asking if I even have to take the music final, as I have like ridiculous amounts of extra credit accumulated. But, I'll probably still have to take it. Tomorrow night is also the work Christmas party, which is cooled, as I get paid to go to it. :3

Mon, Wens and Thrus next week are finals and then I'm done til the beginning of February.

Next Tuesday is the trip to Frostburg, which will be interesting, for sure. I was talking with Awesome!Prof about that today, he was telling me which buildings were which and all. Coolness.

Phew, just knocked out my last Health paper. It's not due til Tuesday, but I want to work on something else tomorrow, so, yeah. I ended up doing it on the history of homosexuality in film and television, so a lot of it was about The Celluloid Closet and all that. Interesting topic, to be sure.

Now, back to work on JaSpin ficcage!
