I hate Dell
Apr. 21st, 2008 04:52 pmSo... on Friday we talked to Dell about these 2 lines that go across my screen. After going through the whole thing, they said the Video Card was bad and they'd make an appointment to come here and fix it.
Well, today, they called again. They made us re-do all the things we did the first time and now they're saying it's something with the LCD. Which is what I thought it was to begin with.
Then, here's the kicker. They send me this link to some site that tells you how to take apart your laptop and fix something. He's all like 'Yeah, you'll need like 5 screwdrivers' (I am so paraphrasing here) and I'm like... 'Ugh... Dad... help.'
So, dad takes the phone and goes into awesome-when-not-directed-at-me-rant mode. The one that makes me wonder why the people he works with have yet to learn not to piss him off. He's all 'Last I heard someone was gonna come out here and fix this. That's why we paid for the warranty, after all, isn't it? I'm not gonna sit here and take the computer apart and risk messing it up. Then, you'll just say we did something wrong and not honor the warranty. No. Send someone out here to fix it'
They're gonna call back to make that appointment. My dad so wins. <3
10 more days of classes. Whoot!
