csi_sanders1129Dad and I left around 5:15, made it downtown by 6:15. Doors at 6:30. Got inside... and there was a catwalk seperating our seats. I was in E5, Dad, F10. So, we knew we weren't next to each other, but... the catwalk was unanticipated. Dad chilled on my side (I was right next to the catwalk thing) and then some security guy came over and was like 'Hey, there's a chair that didn't get placed here, you wanna stay?' SO that worked out. Dad just ended up one row behind me, also right next to the catwalk.
Jimmy Wayne came on at 7:30. He played: Cowboys & Engines, Stay Gone (<3), Kerosene Kid, Trespassin'. Then... he starts off with intro-ing a song he got to cover - Sarah Smiles. Oh,and btw, JOhn Oates of Hall & Oates is here and yeah. John Oates played with him for that song. dad was happy, even if he would have preffered Daryl Hall (They played a nearby club last night so I guess they stuck around). After that, he played Do You Believe Me Now? And he was off by 8. I almost got a high five at one point, but he missed. -_-
Few minutes later, Dierks Bentley started. Sideways, Lot of Leavin' Left To Do, Every Mile A Memory, and How Am I Doing? After that one he passed by us and I did get a high five. From there, Come A Little Closer, Settle For A Slowdown (I Got a full on handshake after that one, and wow, that sounded more pathetic than I was aiming for), My Last Name, Feel That Fire, What Was I Thinkin? And ended with Free & Easy Down The Road I Go. He was off by 9.
Brad Paisley came out a few minutes later. He was awesome. So, so, awesome. Scores better than Kenny Chesney, and Keith Urban in my book. His setlist was: Start A Band, American Saturday Night, Mud On The Tires, Wrapped Around, Celebrity, Waitin' On A Woman, Water, Still A Guy, Catch All The Fish, I'm Gonna Miss Her, She's Everything. Then a nice long insturmental break, The World, When I Get Where I'm Goin', Ticks, Online, and Then.
Encored with: Welcome To The Future and Alcohol. Dierks, Jimmy, and Oates all came out again during Alcohol. Got another high five from Dierks and one from John Oates (Dad, too - he was quite happy). And then, omg, and then, they all left and Brad played 'Boys of Summer'. Is there a more awesome way to end anything? And he gave his cowboy hat to some like 6 year old girl up front. Twas cute. :3
Anywho, got out of there by 11:10. Sat around in the garage trying to escape for 20 minutes, Home by just after 12. Good time.
Tomorrow's gonna be crazy busy. -_-
