csi_sanders1129Okay, so the concert. Co-worker, Wanda, picked me up at 6. We drove some long as fuck backroad route to get downtown. Got there at like… 7:10. Concert started at 7:30. I hate what Dad has done to me. I cannot be anywhere on time. I am an early person. It’s…. like compulsive. I have to be places early. Especially concerts. Ours was up first, Wanda and I got separated cause I was off buying a t-shirt. And since she was off in the middle of the place, pretty far back, I couldn’t get through the wall of people. Which was fine with me. I was off to the side, but still had a good view. I managed to sneak my camera in, so I snapped a few pics. None of them really turned out very well.
Got back to Wanda when Ours ended, hung around while she talked to some guy standing next to her (Brett) for a while. I got through about half of Switchfoot’s setlist - The Sound(?), Oh!Gravity, Stars, Gone, This Is Your Life. Then in the middle of a new song they were playing, and then On Fire, I got overwhelmed by being swarmed by people (which I usually am not because I am normally early enough to get a spot on the rail and thus have something resembling space) and had to get away. I went to get a drink. Chilled off to the side again. Just as I got back from getting the drink, the lead singer of Switchfoot ran out into the audience, right past where I’d been standing with Wanda, ran up the stairs and climbed over the second tier railing whilst singing Dare You To Move. Then, when it ended, he slid down a pole and ran back to stage. Betting security was thrilled with that insanity. They ended with Meant To Live.
Got back to Wanda again, told her I was likely going to bail again – because of the people and so I could take pics from other angles. Made it through one song – Independently Happy – and then took off. I moved all about while they played. Got another drink. Chilled out during the like… 2 songs I didn’t know and watched from the TV’s at the bar. Took my vids. Twas all good. After Indep. Happy, they played:
Independently Happy, Clumsy Card House, Say It, Dirt Room, Been Down, My Never, Blue Sunshine, Picking up Pieces, Should Be Loved, Congratulations, Into the Ocean, Jump Rope, She’s My Ride Home, James, and The End. Encore’d with: It’s Just Me, 18th Floor Balcony, Italian Radio, and Hate Me. And the he went off on this like... Outro Rant --> "Why? Why is this so important for you? Why?

Despite the late arrival and crappy location, it was a good show. :D
