Sick Puppies :D. Man I love that band. Adelitas Way are also awesome anf framing hanleys music is good but the only gig I have ever ealked out of was one theirs - not helped by screaming teenagers. Have an awesome time!
Nice amount of gigs coming up for you so enjoy!

I've seen Sick Puppies before. They were awesome!

I've never really heard anything by Adelita's Way, any song recs?

Ooh, don't tell me there are screaming teenagers! I'm still recovering from the new Found Glory concert I went to last year (the only show I've ever walked out of). My dad will not be pleased to hear that my suspicions on the fan-activity for Framing Hanley were correct. D:

Have a ton of vids of Sick Puppies on my youtube http://www.youtube.com/user/silverspirit17
Probably the main one being Last Stand for Adelitas Way. I know their stuff and I have it playing but its not one I am all that familiar with.

Yeah there are but that was UK, we do tend to be a bit of a different fanbase to the US from what I have experienced.
My opinion of them was not high but other people I know loved it. I think Sick Puppies will smash them out of the water performance wise.
Do Sick Puppies do signings over there after the gig? Here they would do so straight after. First US (well US based) band that I have known to do that.

My Dad is obsessed with Framing Hanley. I am in it more for Sick Puppies. And, yeah, they did a signing when I saw them, but pretty much everyone who plays where I saw them does signings if you know where to hang out and wait for them. I got a poster signed and a pic with them.

Ah well if he saw them over here he would feel very very very out of place. I felt so fucking old at that gig. Thats useful to note, I usually hang around after the gigs over here but wasn't sure how that really worked in the US. I only saw them last month but I am counting down till the end of March to see them again.

A lot of whether bands sign or not here is based on where the are. When I saw Sick Puppies the first time, they were playing at a venue that used to be an old movie theater. It doesn't hold that many people, really. The place I'm seeing them in March is a little bigger and I don't quite know where to hang out to catch them there, so it's kind of hit or miss. Same with other bands. The two I have official meet and greets for are like... huge arena places that hold a ton of people. So that's really the only way to catch bands that play in bigger places unless you know somebody who knows somebody who can tell where to be.

Sounds very much the same as here then. Before gigs we quite often wander around the building/block finding out where the back/side exit and where the buses are parked. After the gig head there and just stake it out until people show.
Find it hard doing gigs without the "stalking"(as my friend calls it) now. Was weird on the Sick Puppies tour cause they would sign and therefore people happy and leave so noone would hang outside and they were very very small venues 100-200 capacity max. Signing is fine but I like to chat etc. Did manage to in Southampton though as was Street Teaming for them and we didn't get kicked out the venue after so we were chatting to other people then left the same time as them after chatting for a while. (Shim ended up kicking a door open was quite amusing though we were on the door opening side so we just saw him coming through it leg up as the door flew open....)
Only done 3 gigs in big arenas since started hanging around to meet the bands (Wembley - finding car park was easy but we didnt hang around very long as too fucking cold, Manchester Central - once again just a walk around to the back of the building and Nottingham NIA round to the side). Luckily the bands we were seeing are good with their fans and do come out I am thinking a lot in those situations wouldn't.

I hate not being able to meet the bands after shows. The place I mentioned before, that is the best place - you can get setlists, pics, get stuff signed, hang around and talk... I've been to other places where they just kind of hurry everyone along.

(The Shim kicking down a door thing sounds awesome, though xD)

I've met: Sick Puppies, Three Days Grace, Fall Out Boy, Lifehouse, Saving Abel, Graham Colton, Matt Nathanson, Mat Kearney, Vertical Horizon, Miranda Lambert, Parachute, Secondhand Serenade, Uncle Kracker, Adam Pascal & Anthony Rapp (RENT), Alkaline Trio, Hellogoodbye, Danny Gokey, The White Tie Affair, Runner Runner, Rehab, The Spill Canvas, Switchfoot... I think that's all?

And I didn't meet them, but I got to play bass for Barenaked Ladies... And I have random unsigned setlists from a few other people including Kris Allen, Backstreet Boys, and Goo Goo Dolls.

The night never feels complete without it, for us its as much as the experience as the gig itself. Thats cool! Some venues over here are right bastards. Particularly the O2 Academy's. A security guy nearly pushed me down the stairs in Newcastle. However once kicked out the venue we just go to the outside doors.
I really need to do an up to date post of my gig stuff. I have about 13 drumsticks and 13 picks and 15 or so tour posters plus a ton of setlists :D.

Shim kicking down the door was hilarious esp as I think it was Mark went Did you just kick a door open? which prompted Shim to act out the process (the door handle didn't work after trying it a few times so he shrugged and kicked the door). That gig is mental :D.

I think I hate you for the Three Days Grace part! I really really want to see them (and Saving Abel actually) but neither seem likely to come over here anytime soon. What are they like? The 3DG dvd I have is amazing but wondered if it held up all the time? I keep looking at 3DG US dates but nothing come out of that yet. Would say the same for Lifehouse but I am seeing them on the 26th so hopefully. And I don't know some of the other names shall have to look it up.

Thats a pretty cool list! Mines a bit random as includes some British bands (awesome and I always rave about them but still)
British (usually support acts or know them cause of support slots)
Heavens Basement, The Crave, Dear Superstar, theFallen, Counterpoint, the Feud (main support for Sick puppies), The Light Divided.

Then main bands-
Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Shinedown, Sick Puppies, Halestorm, Anberlin, Madina Lake, Theory of a Deadman, Disturbed, AFI (well 3/4 as no Jade and Davey is right Diva), Nonpoint. Godsmack (group meet and great thing and first band ever met). Funniest band by far is Halestorm. Papa Roach are awesome and so are Buckcherry and Shinedown. I love Madina Lake just because of the guys - the music doesn't do anything for me really but those guys are so sweet lol we call them miniMadina. Nonpoint I was scared to meet but they were so awesome to us esp as we knew of them for ages and I had seen them in the States etc.

Maybe I need to keep an eye out for gigs in your neck of the woods then!

I know! It sucks leaving without it! The last concert I went to 9Bryan Adams) they told us we couldn't take pics and my Dad and I were practically in withdrawal by the time we left. We both have 20somethingx zoom cameras and we've gotten some awesome pics, so ti sucks when we can't even do that. Some places are really kind of evil about it and in some cases we found out that the bands don't even care whether or not people take pictures.

We've made friends with a few security guards at different venues, which is a nice bonus sometimes. We never really have issues with them, just with crazy/highly intoxicated people who always seem to find us?

I have a big binder full of pics/setlists/guitar pics that I need to reorganize. I've got like an entire wall in my room filled with posters and I have 1 drumstick (that I only caught because I caught it with my face) and a couple signed CD booklets. Concerts are just so much fun. :3 I've heard of most of the others, though. Awesome groups!

I'd kill to see some British and/or Irish bands. I'm so happy The Script are coming around. I wish The Wanted or Scouting For Girls would come to the US!

Three Days Grace was like the first official meet and greet thing. They sped us all through at first but then they hung around chatting for a while, which was cool. They were really nice. :3 Saving Abel was cool like that, too, the announced they were signing during the show (at the place of awesome) so it got swarmed and we didn't really get to chat much, but it was fun. Lifehouse I've seen 2 or 3 times. They just played at my college in October and that's when I got the meet and greet, so it was cool. Fast, but cool. :3

Wow, you have cool list, too!I've seen Papa Roach and I was supposed to see Shinedown but the show got canceled ):

No taking pictures? That sucks! When I saw Godsmack at Hard Rock in Florida no cameras were allowed but I snuck in mine and did get a few decent shots but not many.
What camera you got? I currently have a Panasonic TZ6 (12x optical) am looking at upgrading to the Panasonic FZ45 (think FZ40 there).
Most of the time its the venues being shitty not the bands!

Ah yeah have had that. There was nearly a fight with Jacoby of PR and a random drunk/drugged up guy after gig in Sheffield then between Tobin and 2 guys a couple of hours later which turned into the 2 guys vs Micky and Benj of Dear Superstar(wearing a pink face mask and an abba tshirt respectively) plus majority of the PR crew. Was like wtf is happening?

I have a scrapbook with stuff so I have my photos with the band, photos I have taken of them which I have had printed and signed plus the set lists plus random stuff.
I really couldn't imagine my life without them. Am trying to get my gig blog set up atm for both my tour blogs and my pics.
My drumsticks and picks live in a box frame on my wall (or in my pen holders for some of my more recent ones and need to rearrange).

I always used to say that I wasn't a fan of British bands or bands which started with the. Broken that rule lately lol!. I am actually not all that familiar with the more mainstream British bands though. Was at a My Passion gig (think they are pretty popular gig) to see the light divided who were supporting. Ended up having to lug a load of tld gear upstairs to where backstage is (random venue). Probably got in the way of the My Passion guys and didn't have a clue who they were.
Glad to hear that 3DG are nice. They really need Europe dates!

That sucks that Shinedown got cancelled. I am a little bit in love with Eric mostly cause he is a massive sci-fi geek and we were chatting about star trek and stargate etc. Plus his wife is an environmental scientist and I am jealous of her old job lol.

Papa Roach I have acutally seen both in the US (back in 05) and here. Here the gigs are fucking mental they the same there? Probably the ones I have gotten the most beaten about at so far.

Most places will let you take pics. Sometimes they're just nasty. We can usually sneak cameras in. The weird thing at Bryan Adams was that they didn't stop people from bringing them in? They just announced it at the beginning of the show. But then at the end everyone kind of swarmed the stage and the guards couldn't get to us so we snapped away.

I have a Nikon CoolPix P100 10MP with a 26x zoom. I think. My Dad has something similar but with a smaller zoom. I love my camera. We're just kind of cursed with the drunk or silly people finding us. There's like a sign over us that just draws them in.

I love my concert binder, too. My concert tag doubles as my concert blog. xD

I am slowly discovering more and more British bands I like. I'll to check the few you mentioned out. :3 TDG needs more dates in general. I saw them back in... 2008. Been a while. I seem to recall Papa Roach's show being rather crazy, but they were opening for Staind so they didn't get to play all that long.

Thats really shitty they announced but at least you had with you.
Ah cool yeah had looked at that one as well.

Heaven's Basement in the last 18 months fast became one of my fav bands. Love those guys. Not all that often you get on a train and end up bumping into the drummer of one of your fav bands get greated enthuastically and then have an hour long conversation about whats happening with the band (a lot at the moment sadly which hopefully will all be out in the open tomorrow yay!). Seen them 25 times tis crazy.

Yeah I have a lot of my gig stuff on here but bands have asked for pictures etc and been told that my blogs are apparently interesting reads and not really wanting to direct people to my lj which is my personal blog.

Also check out The Longest Day. They are a super-local to me band which is unusal. Saw them supporting Sick Puppies and they were amazing.

Staind is another band I want to see.
Yeah go for it :D

I will check them out, for sure. :D

And, yeah, i see what you mean with the not directing to LJ thing. My LJ/fandom stuff is like completely separate from the rest of my online presence. That's cool that bands read, though. I had one guy from Rehab ask me to send him pics once, but that's it.

Awesome :)
