So, had an absolute blast last night hanging out with [livejournal.com profile] paytofay and the three other girls in History Club. We stood(in a circle)/sat around talking from like 3:30 to 8 or something. Then four of us ended up going to dinner - because we all realized we were starving. Mm, Ruby Tuesday and Dairy Queen. Delicious. Didn't get back to the dorm til like 10:30 or something. xD

Today though, was comparatively uneventful. Did homework most of the day and aside from going to the Caf for Lunch/Dinner, I was in the room pretty much all day reading Henry Fielding's Joseph Andrews which at least is more exciting than Boswell.

However, I did have a concert to go to! I know! It's been so long! Like a month or something. Jeez. Dad's still in withdrawal, he'll have to last til Oct 9. Tonight was Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp, guys from Rent (which I have... not seen?). Concert didn't start til 8, but after dinner at 5:30, I just took my book and went and read outside since it was nice. At one point I saw a bunch of people start ripping the posters for the concerts off the walls. This came off as intriguing given my concert history. Grabbed one up myself and tagged along. Found out they had talked some woman into giving the posters to the AP/AR to get signed. Stuck mine in as well and then went back to chill with my book.

When it got close to the time the concert was supposed to start I headed into the building from some back way (I'd never been in there before) and ended up hopefully lost. In getting hopelessly lost, I happened upon two girls and started following them (if all else fails, stalk) out. We all walked by this guy and he was like 'Hey.' and the girls started giggling hysterically. This should have been a clue, but I just wanted out.

Finally got properly into the concert and seated and whatnot (first row, yay!) and chilled out for a few minutes before it started. They announced that there was no flash photography and so I was most distressed by this. My 26xzoom camera was in my bag. T_T

Adam Pascal was up first - this was like the first time they were trying out a show like this together, we were the guinea pig audience - and what do you know? The guy who caused the gigglefest walks on stage. Huh. I am so oblivious to life.

Anyway. He played... Memory (Grizabella? Idk),Solsbury Hill (Peter Gabriel Cover) – Anthony Rapp joined in for that one and then went off stage again - Single Drop Of You, I Don’t Care Much(Cabaret)/Rocket Man(Elton John Cover), Maria (West Side Story), Not A Day Goes By (not sure if original or cover?), Fade Out, One Song Glory (RENT), What I Did For Love,
Love Will Always Come Back (sung by Larry Edoff, AP’s bandmate), Sunday (?), Red Hill Mining Town (U2 Cover), A Day In The Life (Beatles Cover), and there might have been another one after that, but I’m not sure...

They took a ten minute break and so I decided to stop stealthily using my cell phone to take pictures. I figured 'no flash photograhy' means don't use the flash. If I get yelled at that would be my answer. In the front row, I was one of only a few people who could fathomably hope to take pictures without the flash. So I was determined. The woman next to me was like '*sneer* You're not taking pictures are you?' 'Yes.' 'I don't think your supposed to.' I explained my flash/no flash reasoning. And I even nicely said 'I won't take many, and I'm not using the flash.' I got a glare and a comment of 'Well, you know that it's disturbing to the people around you.' Mind you, she used the ten minute break to go smoke, and that was all over her clothes, but oh, that's not disturbing to the people around her? Oi. They always find me.

Whatever. Back on track. Anthony Rapp came out right on time. He played... Losing My Religion (REM Cover), Living Alive, Then Again, Without You, Creep (Radiohead Cover), Just Some Guy(YAY), Perfect, Wild Bill, Always, A SONG WHOSE NAME I CANNOT FIGURE OUT, Visits To You, Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol Cover (AWESOMELY AMAZING)), and Out Out Damn Spot. He stopped there and Adam Pascal came back out. They did one or two more songs together but I have absolutely no idea what they were. Then they encored with What You Own (Just AR) and then Seasons of Love (AR and AP). Then it was over.

As everyone was filing out of the really cool room the show was in, I asked the annoying lady 'I wasn't too annoying, was I?' I wass just trying to be nice and in response I got back: 'Actually, it was really pretty annoying...' The woman who sat on the other side of me motioned me over and was like 'She's crazy, you weren't annoying at all.' Loudly. I was happy. And really. I only took like 30 pictures over all of the hour and a half since the intermission. Normally I would have been watching the concert through my camera. But I was trying to be nice. Oi.

Anyway, place cleared out and evidently I was the only one who thought to ask for a setlist. Foreign concept to absolutely everyone, apparently? Got AP's and AR's. :D Went back out to the main lobby to find the lady who took the posters for us earlier. She said someone had gone to go get them. Chilled for a few minutes and dealt with like 10 amazed people who were like 'OMG HOW DID YOU GET THE SETLIST!!!???!!!' Lmao. Crazy. Let some people take pics and all that. After a few minutes AR and AP came out into the lobby and signed stuff, so I got the setlists signed! And then the posters appeared, that was already signed. Awesome!

The walk back to the dorm was a tad on the creepy side, I will say.
