Ummm... okay.
I just watched Jeepers Creepers. I'm surprised I hadn't seen it before, really, but I hadn't, and it was like 3 am, and I'm trying to reset my sleeping pattern, so I watched it. I Tivo'd it like a month ago and hadn't watched it yet.
But, yeah.
Well. The beginning was much creepier than the end. Up until about when we first saw the thing for real. I fucking hate the whole scarecrow bit. The only scarecrow in the world that does not terrify me is the Wizardof Oz version. Or Glitch. Glitch is cool like that.
But, yeah. Freaky scarecrow thing. And why in the name of all that is holy must horror movie characters be such fuckheads? Seriously. They escape from teh guy trying to run them off the road for no apparent reason, they escape him again, after they see him dump bodies down some pipe, and then THEY GO BACK TO SEE IF ANYONES ALIVE. WTF??? Why, just why? Would any sane human being go back? No.
But, point is, they went back, the brother fell down the pipe because he saw rats. Seriously? Why are people scared of rats, they're actually pretty cute. See? Brother found a dead guy with stitches all down his chest who would so not have been alive, cause I'm pretty sure he had no lungs. Really it was pretty much that episode of Supernatural - Time Is ON My Side.
Oh, and of course the evil monster thing has the whole every 23rd Spring for 23 days thing going. Blah. How original. They did that in 'Countrycide,' too.
Brother gets out of pipe - finds supposedly dead classmates from 20 some years ago - and then has a panic attack while they drive for help. They find a diner, get a mysterious phone call. They ignore lots of advice, people die and then.... yeah, yeah, yeah. watch the movie.
All in all. Not a terrible movie. Not a particularly good movie, either. Developed stronger dislike of scarecrows and a general distaste for the song 'Jeepers Creepers'.
Might watch JC2 or possibly Dane Cook. Or something. Who knows?
EDIT
I watched Jeepers Creepers 2. It wasn't as scary as the first one was. The whole macho jock guy was just stupid. Though it was incrementally more awesome because Ray Wise (The Devil from Reaper) was in it. LMAO.
Now I'm watching Scooby Doo. Lol.
